Coffee flavours and tasting notes

When you see tasting notes on our labels, like dark chocolate, citrus, or violet, it’s important to know that these are not additives. 

We only ever source 100% speciality-grade Arabica coffee beans – nothing else is added.

These notes are what we use to describe the inherent characteristics of the coffee bean, developed by its variety, the soil it was grown in, and the specific way it was processed at the farm. 

During the professional tasting process – 'cupping' – our team identify these flavours and choose a roast profile to highlight them.

Our role is to use precision and a steady hand to emphasise the delicious flavours the grower has already created. 

Whether a cup is bright and fruity or deep and chocolatey, every note is a natural result of the journey from the farm to your cup.
